| 内容記述 | Protection against heavy ion-induced genotoxicity has not been well investigated. N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is a well-known, nontoxic derivative of L-Cysteine that has antioxidant properties. Here we measured the ROS amounts induced by neon ion exposure in vitro both with and without NAC supplementation. Subsequently, we measured the protective effect of NAC on neon ion mutation induction. NAC protected against neon ion ROS induction and offered mixed protection against genotoxicity. | |||||
