内容記述 | Platinum anticancer drug-containing polymeric micelles have long circulation in the bloodstream and high accumulation at some solid tumors, being expected to reduce the side effects and improve the efficacy of incorporated drugs[1],[2]. They are also regarded as effective radio-sensitizers when used in combination with radiation. To achieve the optimal therapeutic effect, the kinetics of the drugs should be fully understood. However, the micro-distribution of these drugs inside organs has not been well studied, due partly to the low molecular weight of the platinum compounds, i.e., the modification with fluorescent dye might change their kinetics. In this research, therefore, the micro-distribution of platinum was directly observed by Micro-beam Scanning Particle Induced X-ray Emission (µ-PIXE) and Synchrotron Radiation X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry (SR-XRF), in which the characteristic X-rays are measured as irradiating high-energy protons and photons. | |||||
