内容記述 | Objectives: Logan plot (LP) is a well-established algorithm for receptor imaging, however it requires a time history of radioactivity in plasma (pTAC) measured or a reference region where a target receptor is ignorable. Since the reference region is difficult to be located in the thoracoabdominal PET images, arterial blood sampling is necessitated to be performed. Although pTAC can be obtained from the cardiac ventricle or aorta, it sufferes from partial volume effects, and some practical difficulties for ROI placement. We propose a new algorithm (EPISA) based on LP using the intersectional searching scheme in a feature space describing the shape of measured PET data (tTAC), and its usability is investigated for thoracoabdomen. Methods: An integral curve of pTAC is written as a sum of tTAC and its integral using LP. Moreover, the relationship means pTAC is located on the line between tTAC and its integral curve in a feature space. EPISA estimates an integral curve of pTAC as an intersectional point among tTACs derived from multiple ROIs because pTAC is common among ROIs or voxels. In this study, a \n11 thoracoabdominal dynamic PET data of [ C]TMSX, a radioligand for the adenosine A2A receptors, derived from \nyoung normal subjects was applied to EPISA. Only the slices including the liver were utilized. Results: The estimated curves agreed with the measured version as shown in the figure in which the solid and dashed lines denote an estimated and measured integral curves of pTACs, and the plots are data used in EPISA. EPISA was very sensitive to the noise in tTACs, and noise reduction was important for reliable estimation before applying EPISA. Conclusions: We conclude that EPISA is applicable for estimation of the integral curve of the pTAC for thoracoabdominal PET data, and LP without arterial blood sampling can be attainable. |
