内容記述 | Monitoring the beam profile is essential for stable accelerator operation in high-power hadron accelerator facilities. At the spallation neutron source of J-PARC, it is necessary to monitor the two-dimensional (2D) intensity distribution of high-energy proton beams on a target for reducing the on-target peak current density of the beam transported with the nonlinear optics. Therefore, we are developing a 2D profile monitor based on the luminescent materials. In this study, the degradation test of a luminescent material and the operation test of a new monitoring system using a radiation-tolerant optical fiber were performed at the cyclotron facility in TIARA. | |||||
