At the spallation neutron source of J-PARC, it is necessary to monitor the two-dimensional (2D) intensity distribution of high-energy proton beams on a target for reducing the on-target peak current density of the beam transported with the nonlinear optics. Therefore, we are developing a 2D profile monitor based on the luminescent materials.
