| 内容記述 | A novel hyper-sensitive detection system was developed to detect Hprt-deficient mutations. The system, which uses hamster fibroblast cells carrying a normal human X-chromosome, has been found to be 100-fold more sensitive for detecting mutations induced by gamma-rays than the conventional system using an internal Hprt gene. This suggests that the system appears to be able to detect a wide spectrum of mutations, even mutations affecting the expression of important genes in neighborhood of the Hprt gene. Using the system, we have tested the lower limit dose for detection of significant mutation induction by carbon 290 MeV/u beam. | |||||
