One of the key parameters is the mean X-ray energy which medical staff may receive around their eyes, because the response of the dosimeter is strongly dependent on incident X-ray energy. However, there is a few studies which experimentally investigated scattered X-rays that medical staff actually encounters during their procedures. The scattered X-rays from X-ray diagnosis and therapeutic equipment was measured using the CdTeZn spectrometer. Derived results indicated that the mean X-ray energies ranged between 40 keV and 60 keV.
