内容記述 | The beamline for microscopic x-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) and x-ray magnetic linear dichroism (XMLD) is planned as one of the public beamlines in the 3-GeV next-generation synchrotron radiation facility at Tohoku, Japan, which is scheduled to start operation in 2024. Segmented four APPLE-II type undulators are designed to provide brilliant soft X-rays with arbitral polarizations and their high-speed switching in the energy range of 180-3000 eV. A Monk-Gillieson type monochromator is adopted as a soft X-ray monochromator to concomitant energy resolution enough for x-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and high photon flux throughput. This beamline aims to produce the high flux well-focused beam with variable polarizations. Both the sub-µm spot focused by reflective mirror and the 10 nm spot by Fresnel zone plate are under designing. Combined with various external environments (electric and magnetic fields, temperature, and so on), this beamline is expected to provide valuable information of microscopic spintronic materials. In the presentation, we will introduce the detailed designs of the optics and endstations. |
