内容記述 | Cluster ion beams show unique irradiation effects that cannot be achieved by monomer ion beams. This is largely attributed to the incidence of multiple atoms that are in close proximity, although their biological effects are largely unknown. We have developed an experimental method in order to examine the cluster ion-specific biological effects using bacterial spores as a model organism. Here, we considered the lethality and energy deposition profile of proton cluster beams in the spores. | |||||
