内容記述 We present the first study on the extractability of global fallout Pu from agricultural soils under natural field conditions and its potential indication for Pu bioavailability. The nominal water soluble and NH4OAc exchangeable Pu fractions in the soils were no more than 0.1%, both of which showed significant negative correlations with the soil exchangeable Ca2+ concentration. The low extractabilities of Pu were ascribed to the soil characteristics as well as farming practices on these agricultural fields. Regarding Pu bioavailability, significant correlation was observed between Pu concentration in rice and the water soluble Pu concentration in the corresponding paddy soils, which illustrated the water soluble Pu fraction was likely to be available for rice plant uptake. Furthermore, a parameter i.e. available transfer factor (ATF) was calculated by dividing Pu concentration in rice with the bioavailable Pu concentration in the corresponding soil and was further compared with the conventionally used parameter transfer factor (TF). Statistical analysis showed the ATFs were less discrete than the TFs of Pu since the ATF considers the bioavailability of Pu in soil. Therefore, we recommend the ATF as being more representative than the conventional TF to evaluate the transfer ability of Pu from soil to rice plant.
