内容記述 | In heavy ion irradiation on surfaces, a special physical phenomenon appears near this ion path (IP), that is, a strong electric field created near the IP affects the transport of secondary electrons (SEs); the potential created by this electric field is called ‘track potential’. This effect is expected to form plasma (high temperature materials), which is expected to be important to study damage evaluation of surfaces. Plasma formed by heavy ion irradiation has been thought to be important, nevertheless, this plasma has been seldom studied. To the best of our knowledge, this is due to the fact that there were no methods to study the plasma produced near the IP before our simulation model was developed. Only our simulations succeeded in reproducing the measurement trend of the yield of SEs. In this study, we analyze when, where, and how plasma is created through simulations and the Debye shield theory. | |||||
