内容記述 | MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) contrast reagents are generally constructed of gadolinium ions complexed with linear or cyclic organic ligands for higher contrast effect in the clinical use. However, these gadolinium-based contrast agents (GBCAs) for MRI with low molecular weight invade in the patient brain through blood brain barrier and blood cerebrospinal fluid barrier. The deposition of GBCAs with linear ligands to the brain have been reported by recent researches1, and U.S. Food and Drug Administration has placed a warning on all of them. The contrast agents having biocompatibility and rapid renal excretion without passing through the blood brain barrier and blood cerebrospinal fluid barrier have been expected for the general diagnosis. It is necessary to design a contrast agent from 1 to 20 nm in diameter for safer diagnostics. In this study, we produced nanogels as MRI contrast agent by the ionizing radiation crosslinking technique, which was used for developing of biomedical actuator2, 3-dimentional gel dosimeter3, cell scaffold4, and so on. | |||||
