| 内容記述 | The permanent densification of silica glass induced by high-pressure treatment attracts wide attention. Previous experimental and theoretical studies showed that the densification is related to transformation in the intermediate-range structure. Our high-pressure high-temperature in-situ x-ray diffraction study showed that the position of the first sharp diffraction peak (FSDP) shifted to higher momentum transfer, Q, as the temperature increased in a specific region in the pressure-temperature plane. The shift to higher Q indicates that the characteristic distance in real space was reduced. In order to clarify the relation beween the FSDP position and the density, we measured size of a silica glass sample as a function of temperature at 9.5 GPa by x-ray absorption method. In spite of heating, the glass rod shrank continuously up to 773 K. Above 773 K, the length became almost constant. This temperature is close to 673K, the temperature where the shift of the FSDP finishes at 9.9 GP. | |||||
