内容記述 | Slow secondary electrons, which is emitted from incident heavy ion impact ionization, are trapped by the electric field formed near this ion path. These trapped electrons create nano-size low-temperature plasma. This plasma increases radial dose, which is useful for the planning system of heavy ion cancer therapy, near the incident ion path. From local high radial dose, we estimate local heating and heat expansion near the incident ion path. This expansion may cause DNA damage. | |||||
