内容記述 | Deinococcus aerius strain TR0125 was initially isolated as an orange-pigmented, non-motile, desiccation tolerant, UV- and gamma-resistant, and coccoid bacterium from the upper troposphere in Japan. In this study, we determined and analyzed the draft genome sequence of D. aerius strain TR0125. Analysis of the draft genome sequence indicated that strain TR0125 possesses a DNA damage response regulator (encoded by pprI homolog) and 33 radiation/desiccation response (RDR) regulons (pprA, recA, ddrA, ddrO homologs etc.), which are involved in the unique radiation/desiccation response system in Deinococcus species. RDR motif of strain TR0125 consists of 17-base partially palindromic sequence, TTNNG(N7)CNNAA. | |||||
