| 内容記述 | Therapeutic carbon-ion beam includes many fragment particles originated from nuclear reaction when traveling through matter. Biological effectiveness of ion beam is considered to be dependent on their its radiation quality, i.e., energy and elemental distribution in the beam. Dose-mean linear energy transfer (LET) is often introduced as an index of the complex radiation quality to describe its biological effectiveness. This study is aimed at investigating the applicability of the dose-mean LET as an index of biological effectiveness through cell survival experiment in various conditions. |
