内容記述 | Understanding the decreasing rate of radiocesium from fruit trees is of great concern in Japan. Among deciduous type orchard trees, persimmon fruits showed higher values than other fruits possibly because their rough bark surfaces blocked radiocesium removal by high-pressure water jet. Pröhl et al. (2006) reported ecological half-lives of 137Cs observed in European countries were about 5-6 years for pipfruit before and after the Chernobyl accident. Since the climate conditions in Japan is differ from those of European countries and the fruit type of persimmon is different from pipfruit, it is necessary to obtain effective half-life data in order to estimate future use of the fruit trees. | |||||
