内容記述 | I attended to the educational workshop, and gave the following presentation at the scientific meeting. The clinical effect given in heavy-ion therapy is affected not only by the deposited energy but also by the particle species. The various secondary particles from complicated fragmentation reactions with target nuclei are widely distributed and hard to be predicted. Thus, measuring the spatial distribution of radiation quality such as fluence and energy precisely for each species of particles plays a crucial role for the estimation of therapeutic effectiveness of the beam at the treatment room. This presentation describes our initial efforts in developing a CCD-camera-based track imaging system. Compared with existed delta E – E and time-of-flight techniques, the system has considerable potential advantages in size and versatility. |
