内容記述 To form a flat radiation field for heavy ion beam has been needed for physical and biological experiments. A beam wobbling method for heavy ion beam spreading has been used to form flat field in biological beam line at HIMAC. In physical beam line, the flat field is also required with a simple set up.
A dual-ring double scattering method has been used for proton therapy. The method consists of 1st scatterer and 2nd dual-ring scatterer. In this method, we can form the flat field easily by setting up only two scatterers. We developed heavy ion beam spreading using dual- ring double scattering method. We designed the setup for carbon beam. We verified flatness of radiation field with measurement. On the other hand, an energy loss of carbon beam with dual-ring double scattering method is much larger than with beam wobbling method.
