内容記述 | The Kana Pick-out Test is proposed to activate the prefrontal cortex and widely used in Japan as a suitable test for screening persons with mild cognitive impairment. However, there is no evidence demonstrating that this test really activates the prefrontal cortex. In this study, we assessed brain regional activities during the computerized Kana Pick-out Test using an fMRI. This test resulted in significant increase of blood oxygenation level-dependent signals in the prefrontal cortex. Activation of prefrontal cortex by Kana Pick-out Test was greater than that when the story was only read. The results confirm that Kana Pick-out Test really activates the prefrontal cortex. | |||||
