| 内容記述 | Selenium (Se) is an essential element, but it is also toxic to animals including humans when ingested excessively. Generally, soil does not have a high Se content in Japan; however, the numbers of sites contaminated with Se is increasing due to its discharge from smelters. Therefore, knowledge about Se sorption onto surface soils is important. In this study, soil-soil solution distribution coefficients, Kds, were measured using Japanese agricultural soil samples and correlations between Kd values and concentrations of ions in soil solutions were analyzed. Then, sequential extraction methods were carried out to determine how Se is sorbed on agricultural soils. |
