内容記述 | U and Th concentrations are highly correlated with each other in rocks, non-agricultural field soil samples and river sediments so that their U/Th concentration ratios are almost the same (0.20-0.28). However, in agricultural fields, their U concentrations have been reported as relatively high1) possibly due to application of phosphatic fertilizers produced from phosphate rocks. To estimate the excess amount of U (Uess) originating from fertilizers, the natural U/Th ratio in non-agricultural fields would be useful because the fertilizers are known to be high in U content and low in Th content which makes the U/Th ratios much higher than in non-agricultural fields. In this study, we measured U and Th concentrations in 112 Japanese agricultural fields, and estimated Uess using the U/Th concentration ratios. | |||||
