| 内容記述 | Irradiation of heavy ion beam has proved to be more effective for cancer therapy than conventional X-ray irradiation, because the ion beam efficiently generates DNA double strand break in tumor cells. In order to deliver a high quality beam for biophysics experiments, electron cooler, wideband rf system, and extraction kicker has been installed in Heavy Ion Medical Accelerator in Chiba (HIMAC). Demonstration of the longitudinal beam manipulation during cooling and fast extraction will be presented in this paper. | |||||
