| 内容記述 | Optimization of a moderator assembly for cyclotron-based BNCT was performed through simulations by considering a cooling system for neutron-production target. The calculated results showed that the target cooling system does not affect significantly the depth dose distribution in a phantom, and the optimized moderator assembly can provide the depth dose distribution better than that in a presently-available reactor-based neutron fields. This study also showed that it is important to optimize the thickness and/or the configuration of the collimator for each patient, because the thickness of the collimator greatly influences the depth dose distribution and absorbed dose to normal organs. | |||||
