内容記述 | High-power beam accelerations have been demonstrated in a MeV test facility in QST for the ITER NBI with beam current densities reaching up to 200 A/m^2 at 1 MeV for 60 s. For ITER-class long-pulse beam acceleration for 3600s, diagnostic tools are newly developed to withstand the harsh thermal heat flux of 200MW/m^2 beam power density. One of methods is the beam emittance diagnostics system through thermal imaging of the multiple beamlets using a one-dimensional carbon-fiber composite target. This thermal measurement method is being examined for realistic implementation to beam monitoring and the operational schemes and specifications will be discussed. | |||||
