内容記述 | The aim of radiation cancer therapy as an effective tool is to target the tumor accurately, while limiting the exposure to normal tissue. Although the target is the tumor cells, the exposure effect also occurs in the normal tissue surrounding the tumor area. Therefore, it is essential to investigate the intercellular signaling process between irradiated cells and non-irradiated cells in surrounding areas, known as radiation-induced bystander effect. In previous study, we reported that a signal from the bystander normal cells have modulated the DNA double strand breaks (DSB) repair in irradiated cancer cells exhibiting a rescue effect. However, the question arises now is how radiation-induced bystander effect is facilitated? There are two major pathways Gap-junction and Media Transfer. Therefore, in this study we proceed with our previous findings to determine which pathway is involved in rescue effect. | |||||
