内容記述 We discuss ion acceleration by irradiating an ultra thin target with an intense laser pulse. We have investigated space and astrophysical phenomena in laser produced plasmas, such as collisionless shocks and magnetic reconnections. We observed electric/magnetic structures in laser produced plasmas with proton radiography with large laser facilities. Recently we have been working to further scale down the experiments with a relatively small laser facility using ultra intense laser pulses to develop relativistic laboratory astrophysics. In order to perform proton radiography at such small facilities, we need a very thin target to achieve high energies of protons/ions with the limited laser energy, and also to reduce the radioactive contaminations. We have developed a large-area suspended graphene as a target for ion acceleration experiment. The thickness of the graphene target is 1 nm, an atomic thin, with the diameter of ~ 1 mm, resulting the aspect ratio of 10^6. Stable and reasonable mass-production of low atomic number free-standing ultra-thin targets with nanometer accuracy allows us to investigate ion acceleration such as the radiation pressure acceleration. We will use the energetic ion beams to measure electric/magnetic field in laboratory astrophysics experiments.
