| 内容記述 | In the National Institute of radiological sciences (NIRS), the various types of radiation beams can be used for radiation research fields. HIMAC (Heavy Ion Medical Accelerator in Chiba) can provide energetic heavy ion beams with energy 6 MeV/u and 100 to 800 MeV/u. The cycloreotrons can provide proton beams with energy up to 80 MeV. They can provide beams simulating heavy ions in cosmic ray, energetic tarapped protons, proton components in solar particle events and so on. Since these accelerator fascilities have the beam ports exclusively for researches, they are used not only for medical applications but also for scientific researches, especially radiation effects coused by proton and heavy ion components in space radiation. | |||||
