内容記述 | Since 2004, we have had radiation measurements in space environment in collaboration with the Institute of Bio-Medical Problem (IBMP), Russia and German Aerospace Center (DLR), Germany. And, Japan Aerospace eXploration Agency (JAXA) also has supported our space experiments. The experiments were BRADOS, Space-ICCHIBAN, MATROSHKA-R, MATROSHKA, Protective Curtain, DOSIS, BION-10 and so on. Most of them were international project attended several institutes. Our detector packages for the space experiments were prepared in NIRS and send them to the core institute which had responsibility for the launching. The institute assembled all dosimeter packages in boxes or other materials and exposed in the space vehicles. These materials were recovered and bought back to the ground. Finally, our dosimeters were returned to NIRS and analyzed. Our dosimeter package consisted of several dosimeters. One type was luminescence dosimeter like Thermal Luminescence Dosimeter (TLD), Optically Stimulated Luminescence dosimeter (OSL) and Radiophotoluminescence dosimeter (RPL). These dosimeters can measure low LET radiation but at high LET region they have lower response than nominal dose. So that, in order to measure radiation with higher LET, Solid state track detectors (SSTD) has been used. With packages of these combination of the dosimeters, more than 10 experiments were performed in space craft such as the International Space Station and scientific satellites. These packages were installed boxes and phantoms inside and outside of the space vehicles. Here, these experiments are shown with the purpose and achievements. | |||||
