内容記述 | Soil-to-plant transfer factor (TF) is an important parameter among the environmental transfer parameters that have been used in mathematical models for the environmental safety assessment; it is defined as the plant/soil concentration ratio. We measured radium-226 concentrations for 134 crop samples collected in Japan to obtain TFs and then applied a statistical approach to estimate TF values instead of directly measuring the radionuclide. Using concentrations of U in soil and Ba in plant samples, we could obtain an empirical equation to estimate the TF; the difference between estimated and measured Fv-Ra values was a factor of 1.2 on average for crops. | |||||
