内容記述 | Rhenium (Re), which is thought to be a chemical analogue of technetium (Tc), is naturally present in soils. To clarify the effect of Re concentration on insolubilization of Tc, a radiotracer experiment was carried out. An air-dried soil collected from a rice paddy field in Japan was covered with 95mTc tracer solution including 0, 0.1, or 10 mg/L of Re. The surface solution was then collected 0, 3, 7, 14, 30, 60, and 90 days after the waterlogging. The solution was filtered through a 0.2-micro m filter and 95mTc activity in the filtrate was measured with an NaI scintillation counter. The results showed that 95mTc concentrations in surface solutions of all samples decreased with time, and that there was no significant difference among the treatments. On the other hand, Re concentrations in the sample solutions did not change, which suggests that Tc insolubilization rates were not affected in the presence by elevated amounts of Re. The insolubilized Tc would be re-mobilized when soil samples were air-dried, but not all the Tc in soil could become mobilized. | |||||
