内容記述 1. The EPR signal intensity of nitroxyl radicals were decreased by X-ray (Eeff = 80 keV) irradiation when a hydrogen donor was coexisting in the reaction mixture. X-band EPR measurements of several reaction mixtures were performed to find a suitable preparation to detect free radical reactions produced by low linear-energy-transfer (LET) irradiation at relatively low dose (< 16 Gy). The combination of TEMPOL and GSH was most preferable among the preparations tested in this study, because of the enough sensitivity and irreversibility of the reaction.
2. The microtube containing PBS and LiPc was sealed air-tightly without any bubbles inside, and was X-irradiated with 128 Gy. Immediately after X-irradiation, the pO2 value in the PBS decreased by 31 mmHg compared with the value before irradiation. This result suggests that molecular oxygen is transiently consumed to generate diamagnetic species during X-irradiation. Generation of H2O2 after the irradiation was confirmed.
