内容記述 | Radioactive contamination could occur at the time of a radiation accident. Quick detection of radioactive contamination on the body surface or wounds is essential for the judgment whether its decontamination is necessary or not and how far the decontamination process should be continued. Rapid assessment of internal contamination is also important to initiate decorporation of radioactive materials from the body. However, quick detection of radioactive external or internal contamination, especially the contamination caused by pure alpha emitters or low-energy beta emitters is very difficult. Conventional methods would not be applicable for their detection. The problems encountered in the conventional methods are discussed and improved methods are suggested to be able to apply in the case of radiation emergency. | |||||
