| 内容記述 | Since 1994, the clinical trial at HIMAC has been successfully being progressed and more than 2,000 patients have treated with carbon ions. Based on the development of the accelerator and irradiation technologies for 10 years, we propose a wide spread use of carbon therapy facility. The accelerator complex for the facility consists of two ECR ion sources with permanent magnets, an injector linac cascade (RFQ+IH) with the energy of 4 MeV/n, a synchrotron ring with the maximum energy of 400 MeV/n and the beam delivery system for three treatment rooms. The key technologies for the new facility have been being developed since April 2004. We will present the conceptual design of the new facility and the R&D study. | |||||
