| 内容記述 | The thickness and the effect of enhancement of atlantoodontoid synovial membrane in patients of rheumatoid arthritis were evaluated and correlated with clinical symptoms. With contrast-enhanced image, the thickness of synovial membrane more than 3mm or the signal intensity of synovial membrane higher than that of bone marrow of atlas, was thought to be pathologic. The thickness and strength of enhancement of synovial membrane were well correlated with the severity of neck pain. Involvement of the cervical spine is common in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Many published papers described about the effectiveness of contrast-enhanced MR imaging to depict synovial inflammation in RA. The visualization of synovial membrane in craniocervical lesion with MR imaging was also reported (1,2). But, to our knowledge, the thickness of atlantoodontoid synovial membrane in RA has not been evaluated. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the thickness and the enhancement pattern of atlantoodontoid synovial membrane in RA, comparing with those in cervical spondylosis (CS), and to correlate them with clinical symptoms. | |||||
