内容記述 The goal of this experiment is verifying the performance of prototype Tissue Equivalent Proportional Counter (TEPC) developed for monitoring space radiation on ISS (International Space Station). The radiation field on ISS orbit is much different from ground environment. In space, human cells could be exposed by complex radiation sources, X-ray, Gamma ray, energetic electrons, protons, neutrons and heavy charged particles covering a huge range of energies. These generate much larger range of Linear Energy Transfer (LET) than ground and cause unexpected effect on human cells. In order to cover the large range of LET, from 0.2 to 300 keV/μm, we developed a compact TEPC which measures ionized particles produced by collision between radiation sources and tissue equivalent gas in the detector. From measuring LET spectra, we can derive simply the equivalent dose from the complicated space radiation field. In this HIMAC experiment of 13H326, we calibrate and test the active radiation detector with He 150 MeV/u and C 135 MeV/u beams
