内容記述 | To obtain a heavy-ion microbeam at middle-energy experiment course at HIMAC, a microbeam-experiment apparatus was des-igned and manufactured. Several colimeters 1) a squair hole colimeters (3, 5, or 8 um sq.) in very thick (200 um) Si-wafer boards, 2) sets of double rectangular (3, 5, or 8 x 2000 um sq.) atached by cross way without any space between the slits, and 3) three different 7 um and 4um daimeter double colimeters having a space of 100 um were manufactured and tested the performance to produce microbeam. Diffusion of the beam after passing through the colimeters were tested by using CR39 track detectors at HIMAC middle energy ion exposure cave, The beam size after passing through the squair hole colimeter (3 um sq.) was 8.4 x 9.0 um, and that for double colimeter was 9.6 x 9.3 um beam when beam incident from the smaller hole. Double rectangular colimeter did not show any good result. When CR39 was setted 1 mm downstream of the colimeters, the beam was diffused to be 50-80 um. When cells could be placed within 100 um downstream of the colimeters, the size is estimated about 15 um, and it may possible to irradiate single cell by the beam. | |||||
