内容記述 The Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident discharged large amounts of radioactive tellurium (Te) into the environment. Among them, 127mTe has a relatively long half-life of 109 d, thus, the radionuclide may have posed a risk of internal radiation dose via crops uptake. However, the realistic dose estimation from the radioactive Te via food ingestion was hampered due to the lack of soil-to-plant transfer factor (TF) of Te. Stable Te, as an analogue of radioactive Te, would be useful for the estimation of the TF. In this study, stable Te concentrations in soil and associated crop samples were measured by applying sector field inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, after aqua regia digestion. Concentrations of Te in upland field soil and crop samples ranged from 14.6 to 518 ng g-1 (geometric mean: 60.2 ng g-1), and from 0.09 to 3.75 ng g-1 (geometric mean: 1.32 ng g-1), respectively. Paddy field soil and rice samples ranged from 23.2 to 852 ng g-1 (geometric mean: 114 ng g-1), and from 0.28 to 120 ng g-1 (geometric mean: 4.57 ng g-1), respectively. Then, the TF values of Te were obtained for the first time in Japan, ranging from 1.3 × 10-3 to 2.3 × 10-1. The preliminary study demonstrated that most TFs of Te were relatively low compared to that of reported values in the same plant group by IAEA-TRS-472.
