内容記述 | A new production method of 11CH4 gases has been investigated for the production of 11C-ions, which is necessary for the PET-imaging simultaneously with the heavy-ion cancer therapy. In order to decide the target materials and to design the new production system of 11C gas, preliminary experiments were carried out. Using 180-MeV proton beams delivered from the NIRS-930 cyclotron, solid-state targets were irradiated to produce 11C molecules. We confirmed that 5×1012 of 11CH4 molecules could be produced and collected by using a Boron hydride compound as the target. | |||||
