内容記述 Sample collection efficiency in nasal swab method was studied using fluorescent latex particles and 239PuO2 particles. Focused on swab materials and aerosol particle sizes, sample collection efficiency was examined for plane disk or sham nasal cavity. The sample collection efficiency showed different for dependency on the particle size and swab materials. The cotton material showed higher collection efficiency than the filter paper, and that efficiency showed a clearly dependency of aerosol particle diameter either disk or sham nasal cavity. On the other hand, the sample collection efficiency for filter paper showed more less tendency for sham nasal cavity, and lower value for 17.7% as average. The advantage for cotton material was two times higher of filter paper in sample collection efficiency, and the advantage for filter paper was less dependency on the particle size. To reduce uncertainties for early internal dose assessment, the sample collection efficiency would be expected to determine each swab material.
