内容記述 | Un order to sophisticate the radiotherapy, high accuracy knowledge of the absorbed dose delivered to the patient is essential. Despite the recent progress of particle therapy, the parameters such as w-value and stopping power rations for ionization chambers in the particles are not obtained accurately. Therefore, that causes the uncertainty in determination of the absolute dose. In the absence of primary standards for heavy-ion beams, the metrological traceability is assured by calibrating secondary standards in 60 Co radiation and correcting with calculated beam quality correction factors. For this reason, we developed a graphite calorimeter to obtain high recisioh absorbed dose and reduce the uncertainty for various beams (Daures and Ostrowsky 2005). We compared the absorbed doses obtained by graphite calorimetry and IC dosimetry in 290 Mev/n and 400MeV/n carbon beams. The absorbed dose obtained by IC dosimetry was underestimated about 2.5percennt than that obtained by a graphite calorimeter in the carbon beams. |
