内容記述 | We developed a total treatment system of gated irradiation system for heavy-ion radiotherapy to reduce the treatment margin of the moving target due to breathing. Six subsystems constitute our gated irradiation system as follows: respiratory sensor, gate signal generator, RF-knockout beam extracting system, gated CT for treatment planning, positioning system using fluoroscopy and safety system. Gated irradiation has been our routine clinical method for patients with lung or liver cancer from October 1996. Over 250 patients had already been treated with this gated irradiation system. | |||||
