内容記述 | An analytical method was established for the determination of plutonium isotopes in sediment and soil samples based on sector field (SF) ICP-MS and an improved anion-exchange procedure for Pu separation. This method was characterized by a high U decontamination factor of 4×106 and showed good precision and accuracy for the measurement of 239+240Pu activities and 240Pu/239Pu atom ratios. We validated the developed analytical method by the analysis of four soil and sediment reference materials (IAEA Soil-6, NIST-4357, IAEA-368 and IAEA-375), and the measured 239+240Pu activities and 240Pu/239Pu isotope ratios for all the reference materials agreed well with the certified and information values. We used this method to determine Pu isotopes in a sediment core sample collected in the western North Pacific about 300 km from TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and soil samples collected in northwestern China to assess the Pu contamination in these areas. | |||||
