For the rapid response after an internal exposure accident of radionuclides, such as actinides and Sr-90, different collision/reaction gases have been introduced in the collision/reaction cell to mitigate the polyatomic and isobaric interferences and increase the sensitivity of the target radionuclide during the tandem mass spectrometric analyses. For method validation, the reference materials provided by PROCORAD (Association for the PROmotion of Quality COntrol in RADiotoxicological Analysis), France, were analyzed, and satisfactory results were shown using the performance index of Z-score. The certifications of TOP LABOs in the PROCORAD indicate our developed bioassay techniques could perform rapid and accurate dose assessment to provide timely information for medical treatment after an internal exposure accident. |
