We demonstrate the development of a high-power, femtosecond light source around 2000 nm based on optical parametric chirped pulse amplification using an Yb:YAG thin-disk laser as a pump source. This infrared light source has been applied to the measurement of x-ray absorption near edge structure of gaseous media using laser-based coherent high harmonics spanning beyond the oxygen K edge at 540 eV. |
