Real-time metabolic observation studies using various molecular probes are possible using the DNP (Dynamic Nuclear Polarization)-NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance)/MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) method. It is especially important to study various amino acids present in the body as molecular probes from the viewpoint of application to in vivo studies. Therefore, DNP-NMR/MRI research using labelled amino acids will expand the scope of future DNP-NMR/MRI applications. In this study, we have developed a technique to visualize the tyrosine oxidation pathway using a compound having 13C in the aromatic ring of tyrosine. This technique can be applied to the detection of tyrosine metabolism in vivo. |
