内容記述 The beam dump water-cooling system has been integrated into the LIPAc facility for removing the heat load due to deuteron beam bombardment on the copper cone in the beam dump. The cooling water has been circulated through the beam dump at the flow rate of 108 m3/h for the heat load removal. In order to suppress corrosion of the copper cone in the beam dump due to the water circulation, the dissolved oxygen, pH, and the specific conductivity of the cooling water have been controlled less than 10 ppb, approx. pH8 ? 9, and less than 2 μS/cm, using respectively the deaerator, the chemical dosing pump, and the resin bed in the water-cooling system. The beam dump water-cooling system has been operated since the summer 2021 without clogging nor anomalous pressure drop in the beam dump.
