Our detailed investigation specified; (1) different neutron production cross section above 30 MeV in the ‘‘special ENDF file”, and (2) wrong secondary neutron energy distribution data in ‘‘the TENDF file” and/or ‘‘special ENDF file”. We confirmed that TENDL-2019, the latest version of TENDL, deleted the problematic ‘‘special ENDF file” and improved some of the wrong secondary neutron energy distribution data in ‘‘the TENDF file”. A simple test calculation indicated that ‘‘another special ENDF file” seemed to be physically the best among the three TENDL-2017 ENDF files.
