A laser-driven neutron source (LDNS) is utilized to a non-destructive inspection of hazardous substances in batteries.\nThe thickness of anode cadmium (Cd) contained in a nickel (Ni)-Cd battery is evaluated from the neutron transmittance, resulting in agreement with the actual content.
