The difference between the particle and gyro-center density sources is represented by the divergence of the particle flux due to the source in the gyro-center space. A gradient of a gyro-center perpendicular heat source causes a particle flux that may modify the particle density profile even when the source does not change positions of gyro-centers. The whole particle flux including the flux by the source is explicitly represented in terms of gyro-center fluid moments (gyrofluid moments) in the long wavelength limit of the standard electrostatic gyrokinetic model. Continuity equations for particle density with finite Larmor radius terms and the term related to the perpendicular heat source in the gyro-center space are derived from these representations by transforming gyrofluid moments to particle fluid moments.
